Privacy & Data Protection

Privacy Policy

Effective date: May 30, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how VOWIRA collects, uses, discloses, protects, and retains personal information when you visit our storefront, create an account, place an order, request customer support, subscribe to communications, or otherwise interact with our jewelry shopping services.

VOWIRA sells jewelry online to customers in different regions. Privacy requirements may vary by location, so this policy is written to give a clear operational explanation of our data practices while preserving any mandatory privacy rights you may have under applicable law.

This policy is intended for customers, visitors, account holders, support contacts, and gift recipients whose information is provided in connection with an order. It does not replace separate notices that may be presented by payment processors, shipping carriers, analytics providers, or other independent services.

Order-focused data use

We use customer information primarily to operate the store, process orders, verify details, arrange shipment, provide support, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations.

No full card storage

Payment card details are handled by payment service providers. VOWIRA does not intentionally store full payment card numbers or card security codes in the storefront database.

Rights and choices

Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, consent withdrawal, or marketing opt-out.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information that you provide directly, information generated by your use of the store, and limited information received from service providers that help complete your purchase or support request.

  • Account and identity information, such as name, email address, phone number, login credentials, account preferences, and customer account activity.
  • Order and fulfillment information, such as billing name, shipping name, shipping address, recipient contact details, product selections, ring size, chain length, metal color, customization notes, order number, order status, return request details, and support history.
  • Payment-related information, such as payment status, transaction identifiers, authorization results, fraud-screening signals, partial card references when provided by a payment processor, and refund status. We do not intentionally store full card numbers or CVV/security codes.
  • Customer service communications, such as emails, contact form messages, chat content if available, photos or videos you send for product issues, and records of support decisions.
  • Shopping and preference information, such as cart contents, wishlist activity, recently viewed products, reviews, product questions, newsletter subscription status, and marketing preferences where such features are used.
  • Technical and usage information, such as IP address, device and browser type, language setting, approximate location inferred from network data, pages viewed, referral pages, session identifiers, cookie identifiers, and security logs.
  • Gift recipient information, if you ask us to ship an order to another person. Please provide another person’s information only when you have a legitimate reason to do so.

2. How We Use Information

We use personal information for purposes that are reasonably connected to the storefront, customer relationship, security, compliance, and service improvement.

  • To create and maintain customer accounts, authenticate logins, manage account settings, and display order history.
  • To process orders, confirm product options, collect or confirm payment status, arrange quality control, prepare shipment, provide tracking, handle returns, issue refunds, and maintain transaction records.
  • To communicate with you about orders, payment issues, address verification, product availability, certificate or material-document questions, shipping delays, return requests, policy updates, and customer service matters.
  • To personalize the storefront experience, remember cart contents, display relevant product information, improve navigation, and understand which products or pages are useful to customers.
  • To send marketing communications, newsletters, product edits, or promotional messages where permitted. You can opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link or by contacting support. Transactional order messages are not marketing messages.
  • To protect the store, customers, payment process, and business operations from fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, chargeback misuse, spam, security incidents, and policy violations.
  • To comply with legal, tax, accounting, customs, import/export, sanctions, consumer protection, data protection, dispute resolution, and law-enforcement obligations where applicable.

3. Cookies, Analytics, and Similar Technologies

Cookies and similar technologies help the storefront remember your session, keep items in your cart, support account login, measure site performance, prevent fraud, and understand how customers use the store.

Some cookies are necessary for checkout and account functions. Other cookies may support analytics, personalization, or marketing measurement. Browser settings may allow you to block or delete cookies, but doing so may affect cart, login, checkout, language, or security features.

  • Necessary cookies support core store functions such as cart, checkout, login, session security, and fraud prevention.
  • Preference cookies may remember language, currency, region, or display choices.
  • Analytics cookies help us understand traffic, page performance, product discovery, and error patterns.
  • Marketing or advertising cookies, if used, may help measure campaigns or avoid showing irrelevant messages.

4. How We Share Information

We share personal information only when needed to operate the store, complete transactions, provide support, comply with law, or protect legitimate interests. We do not sell customer order lists as a standalone business model.

  • Payment service providers process payment authorization, fraud screening, settlement, and refunds.
  • Shipping carriers, freight providers, warehouses, suppliers, workshops, and fulfillment partners receive the information needed to prepare, pack, ship, insure, investigate, or deliver an order.
  • Technology providers support hosting, security, email delivery, customer service tools, analytics, storefront maintenance, database storage, backups, and operational monitoring.
  • Marketing and analytics providers may help measure campaigns, manage email subscriptions, or understand store performance, subject to applicable consent and opt-out rules.
  • Professional advisers, insurers, banks, auditors, and compliance providers may receive information when necessary for accounting, legal, risk-management, or dispute purposes.
  • Government, customs, tax, law-enforcement, courts, regulators, or other authorities may receive information when required by law, lawful request, customs process, fraud investigation, or protection of rights.
  • Business transfer parties may receive information if VOWIRA is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or similar transaction, subject to appropriate safeguards.

5. International Processing and Transfers

VOWIRA may work with customers, service providers, fulfillment partners, and technology systems located in different countries. As a result, personal information may be processed or stored outside the country where you live.

When information is transferred internationally, we use practical safeguards appropriate to the relationship and legal requirements, such as contractual confidentiality terms, service-provider restrictions, technical security controls, and limiting shared data to what is needed for the service.

6. Data Retention

We keep personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including order fulfillment, customer support, warranty or return handling, fraud prevention, legal compliance, accounting, tax, customs, dispute resolution, and security.

  • Account information is generally kept while the account remains active and for a reasonable period after closure if needed for records, fraud prevention, legal obligations, or dispute handling.
  • Order, invoice, payment status, shipping, customs, return, and refund records may be retained for legal, tax, accounting, and consumer-protection periods.
  • Support communications and issue evidence may be retained while the issue is active and for a reasonable period afterward to document the resolution.
  • Security logs may be retained for a limited period unless needed for investigation, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.

7. Security Measures

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, and disclosure. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but we work to keep risk proportionate to the information we process.

  • Access controls are used so that only authorized personnel and service providers can access information needed for their role.
  • Payment card handling is delegated to payment service providers rather than storing full card data in the storefront database.
  • Operational safeguards may include encrypted connections, logging, backups, software maintenance, security monitoring, and fraud-screening controls.
  • Customers should protect their passwords, use unique login credentials, keep account contact details current, and contact support promptly if they suspect unauthorized account activity.

8. Your Privacy Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live and how you interact with VOWIRA, you may have rights over your personal information. These rights may include access, confirmation of processing, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, withdrawal of consent, opt-out of marketing, and the right to complain to a regulator.

To exercise a privacy right, contact VOWIRA support and provide enough information for us to verify your identity and locate the relevant account or order. We may ask for additional information when required to verify the request or protect another person’s privacy.

  • Access or know: request information about the personal information we hold and how it is used.
  • Correction: ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete account, contact, or order information where correction is appropriate.
  • Deletion: ask us to delete personal information when we are not required or permitted to keep it.
  • Portability: request a copy of certain information in a usable format where applicable.
  • Restriction or objection: ask us to restrict or stop certain processing where the law gives you that right.
  • Consent withdrawal: withdraw consent for processing based on consent, without affecting processing that occurred before withdrawal.
  • Marketing opt-out: unsubscribe from promotional emails or contact support to update marketing preferences.

9. Additional Regional Notes

For customers in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, VOWIRA aims to respect data protection principles such as lawfulness, fairness, transparency, purpose limitation, data minimization, accuracy, storage limitation, integrity, confidentiality, and accountability. Applicable rights may include access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and complaint rights.

For California residents, applicable privacy laws may provide rights to know/access, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing, limit certain uses of sensitive personal information, and be free from discriminatory treatment for exercising privacy rights. VOWIRA does not knowingly sell customer order records as a standalone business model.

For customers in the United Arab Emirates and other regions, local privacy laws may provide rights or obligations related to consent, data security, data confidentiality, access, correction, deletion, and lawful processing. Mandatory local rights are not limited by this policy.

10. Children’s Privacy

The VOWIRA storefront is intended for adults who can lawfully purchase jewelry and related goods. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children for account creation, checkout, or marketing. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact support so we can review and take appropriate action.

11. Third-Party Websites and Services

The store may link to or integrate with third-party websites, payment platforms, shipping tools, analytics services, social platforms, or customer service tools. Those services may have their own privacy notices, terms, and security practices. VOWIRA is not responsible for independent third-party policies outside our control.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect operational, legal, technical, or service changes. The effective date at the top of the page indicates when this version was last updated. Material changes may be communicated through the storefront, account notice, email, or another reasonable method where required.

For privacy requests, order-specific questions, or data protection concerns, contact VOWIRA support through the Contact Support page and include your account email or order number when relevant.
